Our RVT's actively supervise our assistants & support our veterinarians in both high volume surgery and team medicine appointments protocols are being followed for efficient and best practice flow.

JOB SUMMARY

Responsible for the daily care of all surgical patients, assisting doctors and veterinary assistants with medical procedure support, blood work, diagnostics, pre and post-operative care of patients, treatment duties, administrative duties, client communication, general cleaning, and training others to utilize our patient care protocols. RVT's are responsible for cleaning, wrapping, and autoclaving surgical packs and laboratory work. Dentistry and Dental Radiograph experience is a bonus.

Employment requirements:

An RVT has graduated from a Canadian Veterinary Medical Association (CVMA) or an Ontario Association of Veterinary Technicians (OAVT) accredited program, successfully completed the Veterinary Technician National Examination and has met all the requirements identified by their provincial professional association. 

The title of technician versus technologist is dependent on the province of registration. The term RVT is recognized across Canada. Work Hours: Weekdays, evenings and Saturday.
